KSD’s Disregard of Teachers’ Input
In case you are not aware, many teachers are also frustrated that KSD's decisions often do not put the kids first…
KSD’s Enrollment Decline & Boundary Adjustment Updates
In case you are not aware, KSD presented its “Class Size & Staffing Report” and the “Boundary Adjustment Presentation” at the Board meeting on April 17, 2023. Both of these are very important. Please note that KSD enrollment has indeed decreased since April 2022…
Board Meeting Demonstration
In case you are not aware, while many demonstrators showed up Monday night, not everybody who was wearing “Kirkwood red” at the KSD Board meeting was there to protest…
“Day of Silence” LGBTQ+ Protest
In case you are not aware, the GLSEN LGBTQ+ “Day of Silence” is being observed locally this week and KSD does promote this protest in their schools…
The FACTS about Gender Outlaws in the Kirkwood School District
This sexually graphic and explicit book was dismissed as “fake news” by KSD staff, subsequently removed from the KHS library in August 2022 due to being in violation of state law, and is STILL included in a list of RECOMMENDED books …
Illegal Books Still Provided to Students on School-Issued SORA App
In case you are not aware, some sexually explicit and graphic books that have been deemed in violation of the law and removed from KSD libraries are still provided to KSD children through the school-issued SORA app on their school devices.
KSDK’s Irresponsible Reporting and the “Book Banning” Claims
In case you are not aware, the reporter on the KSDK News ‘5 On Your Side’ story "ACLU calls Missouri Republicans move to defund libraries 'abhorrent'" dated April 12, 2023 may have forgotten to do his due diligence when it comes to KSD!
SORA’s Sexualized Search Engine Optimization
In case you are not aware, when KSD students (elementary and up) search “puppies” on the school provided SORA app, the FIRST book that pops up is “Pride Puppy,” not cute picture books of puppies that a child might be expecting.
KSD Leader Claims Reality about Families is a False Narrative
In case you are not aware, here is another example of a KSD leader working to control the narrative rather than productively address the real concerns of the community.
KSD Leader “Changing the Message”
In case you are not aware, KSD leaders repeatedly show that they are more interested in controlling the narrative than productively addressing concerns from the community. Here is one example of a Board member emailing the Chief Communications Officer and asking her to “change the message” rather than actually working to ensure that KSD follows policies.
KSD’s Equity Audit and CRT
In case you are not aware, KSD has recently committed $13,125 of your tax dollars to the organization “Beloved Community” to perform a “Pure Policy Review” of KSD policies.
KECC: Defunding the Police
In case you are not aware, Kirkwood Early Childhood Center encourages families to work toward defunding the police.
KECC’s Controversial Website
In case you are not aware, this is a source website for the recent posts about Kirkwood Early Childhood Center. Repeated efforts by parents to get answers about this material have been ignored by school leaders, district administrators and KSD Board members for quite some time, and KSD leaders appear to have no intention of addressing it.
KSD’s Ineffective Sex Ed Opt-Outs
In case you are not aware, officially opting your child out of KSD’s Health Advocacy and Sexual Health Education units does NOT ensure that they will actually be opted out.
KECC: Attitudes about “White Women”
In case you are not aware, this is some of what KECC thinks about “White Women.”
KECC: Gender Identity and Toddlers
In case you are not aware, KECC lumps LGBTQIA+ under “race” and directs families to the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Transgender Center (yes, the same transgender center that has been in the recent international news due to a whistleblower’s concerns about its recklessness with children).
KHS Bio Assignment 2022
This was a KHS science assignment around this time last year and it could be coming up soon. This is a reminder for parents that instruction on these topics is not only happening in Health classes in KSD. Parents can opt students out of the newly approved gender identity teaching in Health, but note that instruction on it is not limited to that class.
Robinson’s Drag Brunch
KSD's Robinson Elementary Promotes "Drag Brunch": KFEI has confirmed that the DRAG BRUNCH event that was posted on another social media site earlier this week is indeed from this week's Robinson Family Newsletter.
